• NEW EUROPEAN UNION SOCIAL SECURITY REGULATIONS for expatriates

The European Union’s new EC social security regulation 883/2004 and its Implementing Regulation 987/2009 became effective 1 May 2010.
Individuals who are already insured at 1 May 2010, under 1408/71, may remain covered for a period of up to 10 years provided there is no change in their relevant situation (assuming the new regulations would result in a liability in a different state).
    For Posting Guide, see:

The E101 and E102 will be replaced by a Form A1, and the initial 12 month period is
to be extended to 24 months.
