Italy to cut green energy incentives

Italy will cut renewable energy incentives by 3 billion euros a year with new decrees compared to the existing scheme as it aims to ease the burden on consumers who support incentives with energy bills, Industry and Environment ministries said on Wednesday.

Italy's incentives for solar sector will be slashed by about 35 percent on average while incentives for non-solar renewable energy sector will be cut by about 10-15 percent, an Industry Ministry official said.
